I just needed to hear you or Rudi say exactly that, because I was nervous of the possible repercussions. Is there an easy way of re-populating them again? Now I have my 2 combo boxes empty, despite everything I have tried to do to get it working properly. The problem started when I tried to empty the spreadsheet in order to create a template. I had temporary sample data on a spreadsheet where I evennnnnnnnnnnnntually got it all working perfectly. I must have changed it a dozen times each time 1 way seemed not to work. I struggled so much to understand how the Excel combo box works and looked at numerous YouTube presentations and Internet articles and I am not sure exactly how I created my combo boxes - I think it may be a mixture of Data Validation and the worksheet controls. I do need to use Design View to use the worksheet controls.

Is it 3000% safe? I (seriously and urgently) can't afford the time to re-install Office 2003 and then 2007 (which I have to do because my 2007 is only an update version) if something goes wrong. I gather that their being only an update, that it is safe to delete them. I want to delete them, just in case that is the problem. I checked and I have 3 of those MSForms.exd files. It is all to do with Comments and most of it is greyed out. On Review I don't have anything to do with Share Workbook. I cannot think of anything else right now. I can't recall if one could (or could not select the control), but one thing that comes to mind is the *.exd issue from a few years ago? See this stackoverflow post (the yellow shaded answer) and if your issue is giving the same object library error, then follow the advice and steps to delete the *.exd files in the specified locations. If a sheet is protected, you cannot select Active-X controls. My apologies!ĭetermine if your sheet is protected?
